We are conducting our 2017 Monte Vista High School Softball Challenge to help generate financial support for our program. Last year, the generous donation support we received from our family, friends, and community members enabled us to keep our softball program running for another year. It also helped us to complete the purchase of much-needed aging uniforms and some new equipment.
In 2017, we are asking for your help again, as we must continue to fundraise – not only to keep our program operating, but also to repair and replace the aging facilities that are not supported by the school or district.
These include things such replacing the torn and worn-out turf in our shed and batting cages, and repairing or replacing our hitting machines, which no longer properly function. Additionally, Monte Vista is the only high school in our district where the Varsity softball field does not have a scorekeeper’s booth and the only school in the entire league where the JV softball field does not have a homerun fence. We hope to make at least some, if not all, of these improvements in 2017.
We are very grateful for the donations that we have already received, but we still need substantial funding, both to keep our program operational and to improve the softball experience at Monte Vista. We appreciate any amount you can give and thank you in advance for your support!
